At the Temple of Seti is this painted carving of two priests holding the Djed, which is in the form of a pillar, a type of the World Tree, that represents stability, continuity, and regeneration. The Egyptian Book of the Dead identifies the Djed as both the backbone of Osiris and the support and backbone of the universe.
